U10 Rugby- St Leonards 29/11/17

On a cold but beautiful day in St Andrew’s the Ardvreck U10s, a taste of next year, took to the pitch at St Leonard’s against a big opposition. The boys had only had a couple of training sessions together but gelled well from the start and although the structure was not as it should have been they battled hard and drove forward with purpose. Tries began to rain and the confidence grew amongst a newly formed side led well by Harrison M and Robert F, captain and vice captain respectively on the day. Tackling and structure were the two big issues to be worked on in time for the start of next season based on this outing. However, a very promising prelude! The final score was 11-4 and could have been much larger with improved tackling around the legs and getting into the mindset of team rugby and letting the ball do the talking rather than running sideways. An excellent result though U10s! (Mr Knock)
