Form 3 trips to – Cultybraggan POW & Bannock Burn

On Monday 11th of June Form 3 who have being studying the Home Front during World war Two visited Cultybraggan POW Camp. They walked through the camp and were given a talk by an ex-regimental sergeant major and given the chance to try on uniforms  and see a whole range of unusual items associated with the war years. Great fun was had by all.

Bannock Burn:

On Saturday 9th June Form 3 travelled to the Bannockburn Heritage Centre. They had been studying the Scottish Wars of Independence. They were able to see the three-dimensional figures from the battle pop up in font of them in the centre of the room. arrows flew through the class and Henry de Buhun fell dead right in front of us.  We then moved to the game master where we re-enacted the battle. This time England won! Children then got the chance to dress up in armour.
